We have had so many false starts at Spring this year but hopefully April really will bring showers and flowers! Our regular story times will begin on Monday April 3rd. We also have some fun activities planned for Saturdays in April: a Cardboard Challenge on the 8th and some Play Doh Fun on the 22nd. Our readers who have been enjoying the Silver Birch nominated titles are invited to come in and vote for their favourite from April 18-21. We will draw the winners of our gift baskets on the 21st also, so get those ballots in! Please see our calendar for details.
May is just around the corner and is promising to be a busy month of programs for kids and their families! TD Canadian Children's Book Week runs from May 6-13 and we are celebrating with a couple of special events. We have a Pyjama Storytime on Tuesday May 9th from 6-7 pm where kids are invited to bring their stuffies and enjoy milk and cookies after a cosy storytime celebrating awesome Canadian writers. We also have a Paint Night after school on Friday May 12th where kids can explore art based on a combination of Ted Harrison and Peter Reynolds. They will be painting of a night sky inspired by both these artisits. Sign up please!

May also has a PA Day on Friday the 19th and we are so excited to have the Quinte Humane Society coming in to talk about being a good pet owner. They will be bringing some furry friends and we will be makig gifts for the animals who are waiting for their forever homes.
