Volunteering

Do you like working with children?
We are always looking for teen vounteers to help us with our children's programs.  Volunteers would help set up for the kids' program, help during the program, and help with the clean up afterward.  Kids program volunteers are needed during the summer, in October for Haunted Library, for March Break, and on some Saturday mornings during the school year.  It is busy and fun and a bit crazy at times.

Do you want to be a Teen Tech?
We are looking for tech savvy teen volunteers to help teach seniors how to complete simple tasks on a tablet, phone, or laptop.  You would direct them through simple tasks like sending a photo, how to copy and paste, or how to add a contact.  On the last Tuesday of the month from 3:30 to 5 pm, seniors can drop in at the Trenton Branch with their device and the Teen Techs will try to help.

Are you independent and like to organize?
We are looking for shelf readers.  Shelf readers are volunteers who go along the shelves and make sure the books, DVDs, audiobooks, and other items in the library are in the correct order.  The best part about shelf reading is you pick the time that works best with your schedule.

Are you interested?
You can print a Teen Volunteer Form or speak to Hanna or Suzanne at the Youth Information Desk in the Trenton Main Branch.  Volunteer hours are available at the Trenton Main Branch and the Frankford Branch.
